In the spring of 2006, the WILL Network decided to run a logo contest.  Area businesses generously donated items to be included in a gift basket for the winning artist.  The winner of the logo contest was Diane Nelson of Langdon.  The following is an explanation of Diane's concept for the logo. 

The concept of the Wellness Center logo was to embody all elements of wellness: the physical, mental and spiritual wellness of the individual. It was also meant to reflect the 7 Dimensions of Wellness model.

The focal point, or centerpiece, is the universally and easily recognizable Yin Yang symbol which represents the ideally harmonized primal cosmic forces in the universe, providing equilibrium and balance, peace and harmony in one's life.

The sun-burst represents the source of one's energy and power; strength in all aspects of one's life.

The palm is symbolic of two ideas - 1) you hold the power of self-management and your personal health and wellness in the "palm of your hand" and working in tandem with the Wellness Center and programs, your goals and the betterment of your life can be achieved and 2) the Wellness Center is there to help and support you and provide you with the "tools" necessary to acheive a better way of life.
